Just make sure that ANYTHING you make up yourself is waterproof and made from outdoor quality parts. And that you absolutely know what you are doing.
Really, the best way to go about this is to buy two proper continental EHU adaptors which have the Universal blue fitment on one end and a sealed continental EHU plug fitting on the other. Then you reverse the wiring (live and neutral) in the blue part of one, which is the only end you can open anyway. Then mark this adaptor clearly as reversed polarity. None of this is expensive (I think the EHU adaptors were about £6 each at my local camping shop) Then you just use the adaptor that suits the polarity.
That way you can be as sure that your equipment is as safe as possible....it`s still not as safe as your house electrics, but far safer than trying to make a home-made adaptor when you`re not totally sure what you are doing.
