we were there two years ago . fabulous site and facillities. you wont be disapointed. if you have time and like zoo's go to the one at doue, quite a lot to do in the area something for everyone i would say. lovely views from the site.

Yup. just returned from there ! lovely site great staff but at 6 miles from saumur it was a wee bit far out from the town, i would have liked to be able to have walked in at night time to enjoy Saumur..................DONT get taxis, they cost about 20 euros from the site to the town. pretty expensive, you can cycle along the loire to the town but the hill on the way back will kill you!

I've also just got back from there. Its a very clean site with excellent facilities and very helpful staff. There is loads to do in the area and if you like sport their is something for everyone. If you go down to the canoe club at saumur by the river you can hire kayaks and paddle down the loire. Its very safe and an excellent way to see the river. It cost me 41 euros for myself and 3 kids for half a day. I would recommend it to anyone. There is a local Decathlon sports shop which is superb and very reasonably priced for all types of sports equipment and clothing and beats the pants of anything at home.

One of my favourite sites in France. unfortunately i don't know how to put a link to another site on this message board without them blocking it. but if you go to "clic" followed by the word "reports" and put the usual triple w in front and the co.uk at the end i put my travel diary on there. if not i can paste into a message here for you. hope you can follow the funny instructions. You couls always tell me how to put a link in!!
