We're off next week with them. Like you, haven't heard of anyone who's used them. Was told it's OK to stay on the port for the night at Ramsgate, so we're getting the 7am ferry arriving 12noon then driving 3-4 hrs but not quite decided where yet.
We are off on 4th September so have a good holiday and thank you for news about staying overnight in the harbour at Ramsgate. We have booked the 12.30 ferry but we might now change it to 7.00 as they do not charge for amendments.
Just had a look on www.ferry-site.dk Their 3 passenger ships were built in 1976, 1978 and 1980, generally towards the older end of the scale for ferries serving the UK, although not necessarily a bad thing.
You may not want to know this if you are travelling on her, but the MV Oleander was formerly named MV Pride of Free Enterprise, a sister ship of MV Herald of Free Enterprise!

Oh dear! Prehaps we shouldndn't have bothered buying another 10 nights Camping Cheques with the £100+ we saved on the quote from all the other ferry companies. Better take the lifebelts !!!
We did crossings on the Pride of free enterprise when she was a (?)Townsend Thoresen ship if I remember correctly. She never sank as they always closed the bow doors properly!! If it's any reassurance, there was nothing wrong with the ship, just going to sea with the doors open sank the HoFE
