Just looked at Brittany ferries website next years prices not on yet.
As a rough idea if you were going 30th Aug and returning 14th Sept this year car only and 2 passengers £418!

We've just returned today from 2 weeks at Jard sur Mer on the Vendee. As it was our first time driving in France we wanted to keep the journey short and travelled Ports - St Malo but it did cost over £400. Sorry, can't give an exact price as we bookd via French Life and I've thrown away the price breakdown. If we go again I think we'd do Ports - Caen on the sea cat or to Cherbourg as we found the driving easier than we'd thought it would be.

We have just come back from Sarzeau near Vannes lovely site, but the ferry via the Cararvan Club was £700 for a family of 4 and a Conway Crusader on the back

Not he cheapest crossing ever, but you get what you pay for, you will arrive refreshed ready for a good days driving. If you drive a large Jeep/ 4X4 you may even just save some money, but I would doubt it some how.
