Hi all,

I'm thinking about going on a camping trip to Southern France as a last minute thing later this month.  Does anyone have any suggestions and/or words of advice?

It's got to be somewhere nice and clean and safe but not be overpriced as we're on a very tight budget!  Preferably somewhere wher e they speak mostly English is a bonus but not essential.

There were one or two Dutch staff who spoke proper English (like we do) and I guess the rest of them could too. Don't worry about the language, just smile and be polite (I'm sure you will!) and that will get you a long way. Anyway, once you're checked in, all the interaction you need is to buy a croissant in the morning and a beer at night. They'll figure out what you mean

I've never felt unsafe on a French campsite in my life and this one had pretty good security as far as I could tell.

You're in a 3-person tent? One of their half-size pitches will be more than enough at 15 Euros a night.
