Now the season is drifting towards a close our thoughts are already turning towards next year!

We're looking for a quiet, rural campsite in the vicinity of La Rochelle, which has decent shower and toilet facilities. A pool would be nice, but as we're planning on going in May this is not a necessity.

Anyone have any ideas or recomendations?

We stopped at bonne Annse plage (La Palmyre) just south of La Rochelle - 2 x teens boys & 9yr girl  - loved it - whilst there noticed lots of different camp sites in the area particulary near La Palmyre & Royan - lovely beeches - also a good Zoo - i would recomend this part of france to anyone - we are thinking of the same area next year - a first for me,the casmpsites varied from all singing to secluded - i just did a Google search for campsite charentee and chose from there for me and our trusty Pennine 535 folding camper

Thanks for the suggestions - I'll do a bit more research on those indicated. Any suggestions as to which of the Royan area sites might be a bit quieter than the average for the town would be welcome.
