That's the way to do it. Remember, there are over 10,000 campsites in France. There is always a good place to be found. Compare that to only 600 campsites in Sweden and even there I did not book sites in advance. No problem. Queiter sites have more place. Funnily those often are the less expensive ones.I do slect on price (I always check in the Michelin campin guide) and the less expensive ones (up to 3 stars, not more normally) have never been full. The only two campsites that ever were full in 30 years were more luxury sites.
