Hello Alnshaz i stayed there last year, its a quiet site with some activities for young Kids, nice area apart from when you need to go into Sarlat it can be a bit of a nightmare with traffic, a mate of mine went back this year so it must be good he's a fussy sod, Good luck.

be careful if its busy there cos a lot of the pitches are up in a wooded area but there are a lot of pitches with sun near to the pool.

we went first week in september last year and not to busy then so no problems finding an area with sun. had a good week found the staff frendly and the site is clean and well maintained.

good luck

We stayed at Moulin de Roch 4 years ago and although the site was OK we didn't like the D47 road which it is on. In two weeks we saw 3 really bad accidents there. Perhaps we were unlucky, but if you go there please be careful on that road. The restaurant left a lot to be desired. Had a problem with the car there and the Alan Rogers staff on the site were second to none though. They were wonderful - we couldn't praise them high enough, even though we had gone independent and they were there with the pre-pinched tents.

After spending 5 summers around Sarlat (differnt campsite each time) the best campsite we have found is La Riviere at Les Eyzies. This is definitely the site we will be going back to next year. Nothing flash, but really nice people. The pool is lovely and looks across the Vezere Valley. The restaurant is wonderful. We have friends who live in the area and they eat out regularly there. In fact they came to see if they could find us one evening and ended up staying all night with us in the bar, then came back for a meal two night later!
