hi - we're thinking of going to this yellohvillage campsite in Arcachon, SW France (near the huge dune) but the only feedback I've found anywhere (none on this website!) was one positive one and negative about a row over pre-booked plot - has anyone been there and what was it like? Has anyone been to a yellohvillage site?
thanks!
Susie

Yellohvillage sites are all second-to-none. We're off to one near Royan next year. I'm sure the row over the pre-booked pitch was a misunderstanding, you get them where ever you go. I'd go for it if I were you . . . but make it quick because they usually get booked up very early.
We went to Panorama this year, albeit in a static overlooking the Ocean. This was B.A. (Before Amber)
The site is absolutely beautiful with exceptional views over the oyster beds at Arcachon .. thats if you can get on the front row as it is popular! It was a bit steep from Reception to the plots and some looked difficult to navigate between the trees, But I must say it will be well worth the effort. Dont forget to pay a visit to Biscarrosse just down the coast for more stunning scenery!!
I'm sure you'll have a great time, we did

hi Chris, thanks for the info, we have booked one of the statics (it looks like a glorified shed in the photo - what was yours like?) with sea view - so let's hope it's on the front row (are there many rows?)!
I guess you'll have a "cottage" as I think it's only cottages out of the statics that have a sea view. The cottages are on different gradients so all get fabulous views. You'll soon forget it being shed like when you see the sunset! They're basic yes, but you dont spend all day in it, there's too much to see and do!! The site's on a cycle route also. My Partner Tim & I took our bikes and got heaps of use out of them.
I'll try and attach some photo's to my gallery, although tekkie stuff isnt my thing, but I'll have a go!!
Yes, we are in a 'cottage' and I had an email today from the site confirming that we have full sea view. Thanks for your comments, it sounds gorgeouss and we are really looking forward to it now!
