Hi

We went last year. Lovely site. Nice medium size. Weather was variable (late July). Site shop (typically) a little pricey, nearest supermarket couple of minutes drive. Family oriented; good kids pay area and nice outdoor pool. Entertainment each night at bar. Indoor pool is over the road! Beaches are a drive away but most of the carparks have low height restrictions (1.8m ish from memory) (had to take roof box of our XTrail).

Trip to La Rhune mountain railway well worth it (spectacular views), as is nearby town of St Jean de Luz where we (the better half especially) liked the shops.

Can't advise re issues with taking own outfit as we used Keycamp gear then.

I'm sure you'll have a good time.

Hi

We stayed a couple of time with Eurocamp. Its good site if you stay away from the pitches near either playying field as it can get a bit noisy some times.

The pool is good but prone to crowding. The great thing about the site is that you can get out and into the countryside quickly , great beaches near by.

Hello,

We visited Biarritz two years ago in July. Stunning coast-line and good for surfing etc. Weather unpredictable; tends to be a bit expensive in Bars and Restaurants.

We like the good weather, so although we enjoyed our holiday we will not be visiting there again.

Me again

I'd agree with Brad and Willie, except I enjoyed the site and the area enough to return one day, despite the unpredictable weather.

As regards crowding in the pool; I had it all to myself one time. But that was because the sky was filled with black clouds and the rain was heavy enough to make the pool choppy! The life guard had a brolly and was shivering!

I heard that the Biarritz area has something of a micro-climate because of the sea / pyrenees combination. Hence more rain than areas either side. Makes sense I suppose.

If you're unsure about committing to a full holiday here, why not split it with a week further north, where the beaches are spectacular.

Trekkin.
