Me again
I'd agree with Brad and Willie, except I enjoyed the site and the area enough to return one day, despite the unpredictable weather.
As regards crowding in the pool; I had it all to myself one time. But that was because the sky was filled with black clouds and the rain was heavy enough to make the pool choppy! The life guard had a brolly and was shivering!
I heard that the Biarritz area has something of a micro-climate because of the sea / pyrenees combination. Hence more rain than areas either side. Makes sense I suppose.
If you're unsure about committing to a full holiday here, why not split it with a week further north, where the beaches are spectacular.
Trekkin.
