Hi wendy
We stayed there last year for 5 days and used as a base for Euro Disney. It was sited a little off the beaten track. I recall that the Pool was fine but toilets and showers a little on the 'basic' side. Our pitch was a good size with other pitches mixed with residents and tourers.Site owners were friendly. Let me know if you have any specific questions

Steve

Hello Wendy. Agree with FreddieF. We stayed there in 2002 on our way home from Spain, to visit Disney. Very pleasant owners. Site takes Camping Cheques. Order bread previous evening for collection at bar. "Chuck wagon" caterer on site. Shop in local village always closed each time we went.We did shopping ("brill") at Carrefour on N4 towards Paris(about 30mins). Disney about 35 mins from site. Most people out all day at Disney. Would use site again.

Hi wendy. The weather is usually slightly warmer than here. The site is "out-in-the-sticks", so you will need your car to go anywhere. We only went to Disney and to the Carrefour hypermarket, so not sure about venturing into Paris. I would suspect that will be a metrotrain from an ajacent town/village.

hi laurie    thanks for the info. would have preferednot to have to drive everywhere but then again i do like the idea of being out in the sticks so i suppose you can't have it both ways.          wendy

Hi Wendy, We stayed at etangs for 12 days last August, would agree with other comments, and are going back for a few days this year as we managed to get a year pass for disney. Worked out cheaper than a 3 day pass) let me know if you need more info

Whilst there we visted Paris for the day. We parked at disney (free parking with our passes) and caught the train form eurodisney, it cost approx £30 for a paris visite card for 2 adults and 2 kids under 12 (or we said they were!) - unlimited travel on the whole paris transport system based on boarding within zone 5, which encompasses disneyland.

An other family on site parked at the val d'europe and had their car broken into and had all passports stolen as well as digital camera.  If you decide to park here, park near the shops and look like your shopping rather than you parking near to the station and you are obviously not around for the rest of the day! -

By the way there is a huge hypermarket at Val d'europe.

Happy Camping
