Dear all,

we are off to Lestaubiere campsite near Berjerac again this year as we had a wonderful time last year.  Just hoping for some tips about whereelse to go though, last year we had a terrible trip back up, stayed in a terrible campsite for one night and this year we are determined to enjoy or return journey and take it easier.  Wea re thinking maybe a couple of days on the coast further up so we do not have so much travelling time back, or perhaps a couple of days at one part of the coast and another couple further up........any recommendations?  We really know nothing about this area but it looks lovely!

have you thought about Twinlakes over on the Charente coast? Have a look in the  facility, and look under 'Sites Overseas', then 'France'. Sandra & Garry have their site featured in there, as do we here at Le Chant d'Oiseau, here in the Loire Valley. What could be better? Coast & Country, two centre holiday? Have a great holiday here in France anyway, wherever you end up!

There are loads of English owned campsites ALL over France.

We are on our way to and from the Dordogne and are calling at La Touche in May for nine days, so it will be a nice rest on the way down.
