Camping le Bois Dormont (a haven site) is a big site with lots of facilities.  It has a good pool complex, and park, and evening entertainment with a bar and resturant etc

I found it a bit big, but that is just a personal taste thing.  There are *lots* of good sites in the St Jean region, I'm sure there will be other people along soon with more recomendations.

  Loads of sites there .....try looking at their  "Tourist Information  " site they will be listed .

I have stayed in Le Bois Maison (Haven / Siblu), across the road from the sister site of Le Bois Dormant, in St Jean de Monts on 3 occasions, and would recommend it, first time I was there, youngest was 5 and she thouroughly enjoyed it, as did the rest of the family. There are indoor and outdoor pools, slides and kids pool, as well as playground, games rooms and kids clubs.

Beach is about 1.5 km away

We generally go on holidays in August too, dont forget sunblock as it is nice and hot there
