My wife & i will be spending this summer in our van/awning watching the world cup parked up somewhere on the cote d'azur, the first thing to be packed will be the (spare) satelitte dish,digibox & tele,welcome to the summer folks & come on England.[:o)]

We were in France for the last World cup, and stayed at the Bonne Anse Plage, La Palmyre. They showed all the matches in the bar, even the 7.30am starts, and the atmosphere on match days was fantastic, with fans from France, Germany, Holland, England and Ireland all enjoying the friendly rivalry. The cheers could be heard across the campsite when a goal was scored.

There are also sports bars which will show the football (and F1 races) if the campsites don't have a TV room.

      When in France it always comes in handy for the news in case the farmers have a string of tractors and a few burning bales in the road you plan to go down ....which reminds me ..........students have a demo lined up for Paris next week .....only this time its over young persons work contracts............should be a tractor free demo this one ........ it  could make good TV......... lots of tear gas being  chucked about as usual .

Sorry for being a little late!

If you use your TV in France it will kind of work.
It'll just be black and white though (if memory serves me right!)

If you wish I can do a test to confirm this - let me know
