Really looking forward to going toAnnecy on our travelsbut can anybody recommend a campsite on the lake. Iknow there are a few sites round the lakebut wanted a first hand experience. We can use the ACSI camping card on four of them but would like some personal reports if possible.

I can only think of 1 site actually on the lake, La Lac Bleu. Big and very noisy and right on the main road. 1 mile away is La Ravoire where we stayed for 3 weeks last year. It is a lot smaller and very peaceful. Where ever you stay, the area is fantastic.

We stayed at Camping Europa last year and it was fine had a great water park area great if you have children. It is a little noisy though with road noise we had a pitch right at the back of the campsite which didn't get road noise but the cycle track ran the other side of the hedge to us and was like the M6 from 6.00am!! Cyclists. rollerbladers dog walkers etc etc etc and they all seemed to have to shout at each other when they were passing -yes from 6.00am. Looked at La Ravoire and it will definately be our choice next time. The area is fanstastic so much to see and do we will definately go back sometime. This year we are going to Switzerland got a taste for mountains and dramatic scenery!
