Sorry, I didn't have the time to reply. I was out enjoying the sunshine....
Rather than post a link to our campsite (which isn't the point, as you're staying somewhere else....), I'll give you a few ideas. Why not try the Cadre Noir at Saumur (National Equitation Centre of France). Great displays of horsemanship. There's the magnificent Puy du Fou at Cholet. That has to rank as one of the best days out in France! Spectacular! There's the amazing amount of Chateaux to discover, like Chenonceau, Azay le Rideau, Chambord, Bauge, Saumur, Angers (Don't miss the Apocalypse Tapestry). There's the 24 hour race at Le Mans. (OK it's in Sarthe, but only an hour from us). There's the Musee des Blindes in Saumur. (Tank Museum). This is quite apart from all of the wine tours that you can take. One of the best we've found is the Gratien & Meyer one just outside saumur. It costs 2 Euros for the tour, which takes you deep into the troglodyte caves. Then you get your entry fee back when you buy some wine! There's the Zoo at Doue. An 'underground' zoo! Well worth seeing. There's a great one too at La Fleche! There's Holly Park just outside Bauge for the kids to get all their funfair thrills!
Then there's the shopping, Tours, Angers, Nantes (IKEA)!!! There's the fantastic markets too....I could go on, but I won't spoil it for you. Just come & see. You'll love it, I guarantee. If you're in our area, pop in for a cuppa!
