We take to much .... far toooooooooo much  ....... but you can bet if I leave something behind, it's the one thing I can't live without ......... No. 1 item being cheese grater     .... have loads, should be one on each unit  ....... but never the unit we are in 

   Dont worry Liz.....you are not in same ball park as a French family......I have seen a transit van turn up and a couple of guys  errect a village with full size fridges  patio furniture  ...and domestic full size cookers  the day prior to the families  arriving  on site ................take what makes for a comfortable stay .....dont forget the telly .

LOL! We're not quite that bad yet, but we mdo hire a fridge when we get there!

Just take what you need.If you don't use it don't take it.I have things in the van I bought because they were cheap,or I have got to have one things,Half the time never use them.We just had a megga clear out of the van,I we have'nt used it then it's gon!

Hi Lizex,  It's alright us advising you, but many of us have caravans or somethig like a trailer - we have no room to advise.  We started camping with a trailer anda tent and all the stuff you need.  Our rule was pack it in the trailer first, limit toys (we have an only child).  I have to say, as the years progress, we take less and less each year!.  We are not necessarily looking to eat out posh each night, we would rather go for longer and self cater. The TV only comes with us in the UK.
