I hope this doesnt sound too silly but i am a little worried having looked at the website about going to disneyland paris.

I am going with my partner for 1 day, we dont have kids and am wondering if it is ok for adults too, or is it mainly a kids thing?

also, i am not too keen on rollercoaster rides because i am (how to put this) a curvy girl and am worried the straps wont fit (had this at lightwater valley and have never been back to an amusement park like it since)

can people be honest and tell me if its likely and what there is to do there for 2 adults?

Kids from 0 to 199 go to and love Disney.

Don't worry you will not be the only Adult only party

We went as adults with no kids and you just get wrapped up in the whole Disney magic thing. We did the Florida one for a couple of days during a visit to the Keys but I assume the Paris one is the same. You will be sorry you are not going for more than 1 day and there is much much more to it than just rides.

Have to say, I don't really "get" Disney - got separated from our children when we went to Florida (they were with relatives so it wasn't that big a disaster!) but walking round with my DH, we just didn't understand what the fuss was - we wouldn't have chosen to be there (long story why we were there in the first place...) - some bits of the other parks were good but just didn't get the Magic Kingdom at all!  But that's just me - I don't know of anyone else who doesn't like it!

Its quite amazing to learn how different people have different feelings/reactions to Disney.  We have been three times now, twice to Florida and once to Paris.

Paris was the first for us and admittedly we did have the kids with us but it was them that kept both me and the missus in check, although we did only spend the one day there.

Florida was a different kettle of fish althogether, although the theme park was very similar just a bit larger (an american thing I think), but on both occasions we did get 5 day tickets, thats a lot of time for a complex but we could easily go back for more, I'm not one for rollers but have to be dragged on some of them as my lad didn't want to go on alone.

From what I remember of Disneyland Paris there is alot of 'other' attractions such as shows, parades, firework displays and also a few walkthrough adventures.

On all our visits to Disney we have always spent a full day there getiing in at opening time and not leaving until after the fireworks display, but be warned it is an extremely tiring day, some people go just for a morning on one day then chose an afternoon for evening for the next.

I have been to most parks in the UK and IMHO nothing really comes close to the Disney experience, others may and will disagree, but it is something that we could not stop going to, even took my 80 year old MIL to disney in florida pushing her around in a wheelchair all day and she loved it, even managed a ride or two.

oops getting a bit carried away again, .......must book my next trip to paris with the TT...

Don't worry at all, I sometimes wonder if there are more people without children than families with children. It amazes me why two grown ups will queue for 40 mins to drive a pretend car around a race track at about 5 miles an hour.

Hi Amy, Don't worry you will love it! I too am on the 'voluptuous' side and I know exactly where you are coming from with the strap thing. I had this problem on Nemesis Inferno at Thorpe Park a few years ago, and they had to move me to an inside seat to get the harness to lock . I will admit I haven't been to the Paris Disney for a few years but I don't remember there being any rollers there that would cause you a problem with harnesess. Space mountain had only lap belts as far as I can remember.

I am a big Disney fan and since 'doing Disney' in Orlando 2 years ago, I am desperate to go back! Even if we had no kids I'd still feel the same. It just the atmosphere of the place.

Go and enjoy yourself!!!

Ann

I too am a curvaceous lady and did Florida several years ago without too much bother.  One or two rides were a bit of a squeeze but I didn't get thrown off of any of them for beeing too porky!  The Yanks made me look small in some cases I can tell ya!!
