We have gone to Cote D'azur on the last week of june past year, and we stayed 2 weeks. It was very nice, no problems. Just a slight glitch though: we realized that the evening animation started on july the 1st, so the first week of june was very quiet (for those looking for quiet, that's perfect, for us with a toddler that was looking forward to the evening disco, that's another story)

Liz,

I'm lazy and of that vintage where "one-stop" shopping is the preferred route. Can't be bothered with numerous phone-calls or failed log-ins on the internet. Also the people at Select Sites have vetted all the sites in their brochure and can tell you all you need to know about where you're going to stay. For me especially, this is very important.

Me and "her indoors" aren't chancers and don't like voyages into the unkown!!!!!

Cheers!

Vic

We're no spring chickens either, and we know France quite well now. We don't really have a problem with failed logins either (neither of us really "do" phonecalls unless we have to).

We tried to go through an operator for a short break last October and ... I dunno ... it's just too hard for us. The special internet price wasn't available when we actually tried to book, but was £50 dearer, so we phoned and the phone price was £50 on top of that. Kind of priced us out of the market and we felt a bit stupid as we'd believed the dates & price on the website.

I love spending those long winter evenings looking at campsite websites and deciding where to go. If we book in advance we look at all the reviews we can find (here and elsewhere) and mail sites with any questions we migh have. Last year we didn't book (as it was only May) - got to where we were going with a shortlist of sites, checked into one for "two nights" just to make sure. 2 weeks later we had to be dragged home squealing and kicking.

After all these years we know pretty much exactly what suits us

Still, it's nice we're not all the same, innit

Liz

I like doing all those things you mention Liz but at the end of the day, I like to make just one phone call, speak to a "proper" person and finish the call knowing that I'm done and dusted.

Believe me I'm no dinosaur when it comes to IT or mobile phones etc, but I like to draw a line under them at times-bit like using a calculator for adding and taking away. Not all the time. I like to think my brain still works and I haven't lost the ability to speak and write while having developed a innate ability to push buttons!!!!!LOL
