hi all,

does anyone know if the A28 is now open from Rouen to Alencon. Saw it being built last year, but not heard anything else about it,

did it save much time and what like were the tolls

We are going Calais to St jean de monts in 3 weeks so would be interested in replies

I'm interested to know what traffic's like through Rouen now this is open, as there must be a lot more going through than there was before.  Anyone have any experience of this?   Also, it would be interesting to hear just how much the new A29 has cut the journey times from Calais to the South West....

We came back to Calais from Orleans via Rouen 2 weeks ago .... on a Saturday ..... and it was an absolute doddle.  It was a much better experience than our last trip via Paris!

Do a route finder on Mappy or Via Michelin and it will give you the tolls.

From our home here near Saumur, right the way up on the A28 close to Le Havre was around €36. Not bad for hassle free motoring of well over 300kms!

You really don't notice the towns as such, can't speak for Rouen as we got off before then.

Tackled Rouen at half term on Saturdays.No traffic problems easy to negotiate just note which side of river you want to keep on and its a doddle.
