Just want to warn everyone of building work at the campsite La Baie du Kernic at Plouescat, which is on the north coast of Brittany about 13km from Roscoff.

They have lots of building work going on at the moment.

Listed in the Touring Cheque brochure as a 4 star site with bar, shop and take away, it's more a sight - for sore eyes!! Bar etc. have not yet been built.

We assume that Touring Cheques thought the work would be finished when they printed their brochure but the site is still being refurbished and is more like a building site.

A few picture here if you would like to see what we mean:

Many of the pitches are overgrown with weeds and some are next to the building work.

On the plus side there was a wonderful Motorhome Service point - but you had to pay to get water!!

And the pool complex looks lovely but you have to walk over hardcore unfinished paths to get to it!

We planned to stay a few nights last week but left after one.

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
