 off to malaga in july,never camped abroad before except on the beach after beer,(probably does'nt count) can anybody recommend any decent sites along that coast,also need to carry minimum gear,any body tried the thin light towels that soak up more water etc etc

Cant help with the sites but do a search for microfibre towels and you will get lots of different opinions about them. The general agreement is that the good ones available in camping shops are worth the money but you have to get used to a different method of patting yourself dry. The cheap ones on ebay are best avoided.

Quite a few sites between Malaga and Estepona.......called into one yesterday [live near Malaga and had to meet someone] and was surprised how "empty" it was......

Not many sites inland, but if you like walking etc check out El Chorro....at least 6 camp areas there....

Those micro towels are fine...if you have the best quality ones.....bought a couple way back in Canada......great 'till dog eat them!!

Nice site , inland with great scenery but within half an hour of all the costal reports ishttp://uk.geocities.com/fincadelapiedra/  Like a very upmarket CL, hookups, very nice bathroom and all the usual facilities plus internet access and Jeff will hook you upto his dish if you have a digibox so you get UK TV as well. Not really suitable for kids though

We were there for a couple of months Jan/Feb and had a great time.
