Not to sure on many campsites, tho we did stop at one in Osnabruck on Alfsee which was large but quite secluded.

How far north are you intending to travel?

Andy

Very Nice...... we lived in Germany for many years but only went camping about 3 times as we normally came home to visit relatives etc.

North Germany is flat. It is very bike-freindly. In some towns there are more bikes than cars, and you can even find multi-storey bike parks! The area round Münster is great for bike-riding and walking. Bremen  has a superb hands-on science museum, the Luneburg Heath around Hanover is like the New Forest but bigger. The people are used to Brits because of the forces stationed there. There is a great theme park called Movie World at Bottrop   http://www.moviepark.de/moviepark/home/index_de.cfm

For info about the Luneburg Heath try the website below

The German RAC "ADAC" has a campsite guide online but it's only in German. The Dutch ACSI guide is excellent  http://www.eurocampings.co.uk/en/
