Nobody in the U.K gives good rates, best buy just a few and get the rest as you need them in France. Ideally get yourself a nationwide flexiaccount set up and deposit your holiday money in that, can be drawn out ay any ATM and with no charges and a good rate of the day. and far safer than carrying around loads of euros. kiev
many thanks for the tips, sad to say dont have a Nationwide flex account, but will try to get one opened before i travel, if not will buy them when i get abroad, thanks to all for the help.

If only these foreign exchange money shops paid out the exchange rate that they offer when they buy back. Any money over from your holidays (yes it can be done) save for your next holiday, dont let the money grabbing g.ts get away with it. kiev
M&S were giving the best rate when we needed euros in the middle of June. We were told to check them and Thomas Cook as they are usually the best rates.
