Like many of you Im just back & already thinking about next year. I would like to go to a site called La Garageoire in the Vendee. I know this to be a very popular place & well covered by the likes of Eurocamp & Select sites etc.

Do any of you have direct experience of booking & travelling to the site independantly. The reason I ask is because the likes of Eurocamp tell you that you need to book with them like yesterday  to get on this site which suggests they've got it all sown up.

Any experiences appreciated

I also tried last year for this year and found that it was fully booked for the UK summer holiday period.

Many independent travelers book this summer for next summer while they are on site. Phone on the first day that you can, or risk disapointment.

A nearby site, which I have found to be excellent in www.domainlaforet.com.  Smaller but in the same village with excellent facilities

I booked directly with La Garangeoire in April for 2 weeks begining 2nd Sept, i found them to be very helpful.

I tried booking with Euro***p independant not only were they "fully booked, but I'll just make sure for you, if you book today you can save 10%" but also £200 dearer!

I booked directlty with Eurotunnel at the times I wanted to cross.

This will be my first time to the Vendee & to this site, so into the unknown.
