just back from our week at LaTouche, no problems other than the horrendous queue at calais docks last night but just managed to get our booked ferry crossing in time . great to meet all the team down there what a nice set up it is, envious of your lifestyle now.
this last week has just reinforced our views that the way of life over there is so vastly superior to what we have here in most respects.
we`ll be back over next year.
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Hiya Bev and Jon, welcome back, glad to see you had a good time. We've got the drive down on Thursday night (or rather I have lol). How was the weather???

hi diane. the weather wasnt as good as it usually is in France. rained on arrival but cleared up within a couple of hours. 2 really good days, mid 20sC and minimal cloud then the rest was sun/cloud but dry and about 21-22C. belted it down yesterday most of the way to calais but ive heard its supposed to be improving this week in the Loire.
Hi there - we were in that queue in Calais too last night - twice! We arrived early at the port and went to the 'restaurant' which looked awful. So (madly) went back out again, found a slightly better place in Calais (makes Dover look like Monaco) and then rejoined the queue for a second time. Got a little stressed when we were sat going nowhere a good mile from the terminal for about 20 minutes, but we were eventually the last but one aboard. Already thinking about next year...

lol , it was a b****y nightmare.we got to the port entrance and the queue 9pm after a bit of shopping in boulogne and didnt get to the dock til 10.30.never seen so many hgvs in my life. by the time we`d got through that then hammered 270 miles home i feel like i need a holiday. was getting really stressed with the w*****s who were queue jumping then pushing in near the ticket booths. one guy in a porsche got our wrath for pushing in .
still, we`ll be back next year. better than blighty.
thanks for your warm welcome helen steve, stu, joe and louis, weve had a lovely week, it is a brilliant site,we will be back next year, we cant wait . take care
