We have booked La Foret and following your recommendation asked for a large pitch, they have reserved pitch 40 for us, looking at the map they kindly emailed me 40 is on the main route through the site, our concern is our 10yr old son who has Aspergers (autistic) will this be anoisy pitch with cars to and fro. Can you recommend a quiet pitch. Like the look of 28, 75, 76b and 82 but dont know if these have statics/ keycamp tents on them.
Any advice much appreciated

It isn't that noisy on the main drag due to cars, but it can be noisy if you are backing straight onto the playground.
If you look at pitches up at the top end (furthest away from the site enterence) there is little or no traffic. That end of the site is a dead end, and the pitches form a U.
There isn't much noise at night. There was one disco in the 2 weeks that we were there this summer. The quieter of the two pools might be better for your son if he gets into 'overload' from noise, but you could still get to use the slides if you get there early....it is quiet in the morning. The pools are not heated.
I have emailed the site ( a lady called Diane) and asked for the area you mentioned. This info is really useful to us. We notice the site shop/ takeaway are not open late May, how far is the village, is it walkable (path? or along the road?) and where would you recommend for shopping (super U etc).
Thanks again. Have also read in select sites brochure no bbqs allowed, is this right?

can you remember where the keycamp accom was? Would prefer to be next to other tourers not mobiles/ pre erected tents. Dont know if you have a map but looking at pitches B,G,F, 72,75, 76b and 82. Trying to find a pitch with nobody behind.as should be quieter for our son. Thanks so much for your help Helen
Sorry pager I have been away for a few days. I posted a reply but sent it wrongly. It appears as a new posting under Domaine de la Foret.
Site 40 is big, open, quiet, not near main camp traffic. Barbecues are only a problem in the heat of the summer, with trees around. (Don't ask and you won't be told)
The village is 300 yards away with a safe pathway to it.
Your son should be safe on this site.
As stated, Whitsun is quiet in France. The season does not kick in until June
You will not be too close to statics but they are discrfeetly spread around the site.
