Croatia is a very beautiful country with a lovely coastline, gorgeous islands and clear blue sea.
I first visited in 1985 (Yugoslvia then) when I cycle toured its entire length and latter returned in 2000 in the motorhome.
The Istrian penninsula is very preatty with lots of fascinating old towns such s Porec,Rovinj Piran.Beaches have a tendency to be pebbles or concreate and rocks.Water usually shelves quickly but is lovely and clear.Suits snorkelling and competent swimmers.Tends to be more Brits in this area than the rest of Crotia.
The Dalmatian coast from Rijeka to Dubrovnik is one,if not the most consistently beautiful stretches of coastline in Europe.Limestone karst scenary rises up 5,ooo feet in the velebit mountains area near Zadar.
There are so many lovely places but try not to miss Dubrovnik,a beautiful walled city, the old town quarter of Split, the ston penninsula ,Hvar and Korcula and the wonderful plitivice national park inland from Zadar.
Campsites tend to be good value although they can tend to be very big and you sometimes get a textile/non-textile areas.
