Has anyone stayed at this site in paris?

We want to stay for a couple of days next year on a site within walking distance of a metro/rer line for travel to paris/disney...

Hi Paul, I've stayed there several times, it's quite a nice site on a small island in the Seine. The railway station is 10 - 15 minutes walk. Trains to Paris are quite frequent. If you plan to go into Paris several times it is worth buying a 'hebdomadaire' which is a weekly pass which also allows you to use the trains as well as the Metro and busses in Paris as often as you wish. You'll need a photocopy of your passport photo for it but there is a photocopier in the station for this purpose.

Hi Paul

We’ve been lots of times here. independently and with Eurocamp.

This site is also called Paris International.

Forget the four star thing. That only relates to its location!

Small shop for basics and a cafe on site. Facilities basic and not well maintained. Rats on site, spotted on the river, plenty of onsite cats and kittens which my little girl adored! It is a city, (capital city!) campsite. There is an access barrier there. Key card operated, deposit required. Always had problems to get in when arriving and leaving early morning, to get deposit back, so ask for it day before - I refuse to pay Eurocamp and still demand a key! - BUT -

Good News ! - Would highly recommend if only using to get into Paris. It’s only a ten minute stroll up a slight hill to the station. Trains are every 15 mins. 15 - 20 mins into Paris.1 hr to Disney .(There are two lines that trains take from there - we took the wrong one once! - still got us into Paris - eventually!) The village is lovely with plenty of shops. inc. a fairly large supermarket. The station is directly on the main street, ideal for popping to the shops on your return from Paris, for something to eat.

HOWEVER - If only staying for a couple of days . 1 at Paris, 1 at Disney. The sites nearer disney are a lot nicer and the station to Paris is there too. You might find the 8euro parking for disney / train station , well worthwhile for a well kept site. Can also pop into disney village (free) after a trip into Paris, if you have the energy!

Whatever you decide to do have a fab time!

Catherine

Stayed here several years ago on a cracking pitch on the edge of the Seine. Very handy site for sightseeing. I see there is a still a problem with the rats though! Better you use this site than the one at Choisy-le Roi (Camping International). I'ts almost next door to Orly International Airport.

Planning to stop here on Saturday night. Thanks for the warning about the barrier key, we won't bother with that as we are only overnighting. Will give an update on the rats on our return.    Might get the dog to sort them out    ugh!

Hi, when we stayed there (August this year) we had to leave the party leader's passport at the campsite reception for the duration of the stay - don't know how that would effect getting it copied at the station... Maybe do the copying at home?

I missed out on the rats! Good job my other half hadn't read the above before our trip!
