Hi, I am thinking about a trip in our caravan to Disneyland Paris in the next year.  Though was wondering how many days are needed to spend in the parks?

I will have a 2 and almost 4 year old when we go and a husband who does not like crowds and queues!  Do you think 2 days would be enough?

thanks in anticipation

think you will find that would be enough for the littl`uns and the `older` one best time is during the week rather than the qweekends and off of the peak holiday periods and contrary to some beliefs you should enjoy it

We just got back from Disney - it was fantastic!   We had 3 nights in a static at Fleur D'Etangs (Touquin) courtesy of the Sun holidays offer (£9.50/person for 3 nights) and Tesco vouchers for the ferry.

We bought annual passes - the adult passes were cheaper than 3 day passes because we were sponsored (contact me if you want to be sponsored) and that mean we saved 10% on the passes - then the passes saved us 32 Euros on parking, 15% off Buffalo Bill show (saved 30 Euros for 4 of us) and 10% off all the food, drinks and souveniers - plus we got an extra 2 hrs in the park on the day we arrived which we wouldn't have had if we had 3-day passes.

With littlies the problem is walking - my kids are 6 and 7 and they were ok - but if they'd been younger we would have had to pace it more so we would have needed more time to do everything - although with littlies there would have been slightly fewer things to do so maybe it works out the same?   The only ride my 7yrs old couldn't get on was Indiana Jones (she's tall) and my son was only too small for Indiana, the virtual reality roller coaster and Space Mountain.  We did it all - most of it twice, and the 'Rock n Roll' roller coaster (fastest on the park apparently) 5 times!  Given it was half-term weekend we expected it to be mobbed but we never queued more than 15 minutes for anything.  The Friday and Monday were really empty.

If you don't mind the cold and can avoid school hols I imagine it would be even quieter.  If we hadn't been on a 'Sun' trip we would have preferred to have had a day 'off' to go see Paris in between as we were a bit jaded by the Monday night.

Christine

We are thinking of going to Disney in the summer hols, we were thinking about a two day pass before moving on for the rest of our holiday.
What is the sponsoring thing all about, I have never heard about this?

Hi

Not sure how long its on for - but at the moment if an annual pass holder sponsors someone to become an annual pass holder then the person buying the annual pass gets 10% discount, and the person doing the sponsoring can have an extra month added to their pass if they can go back to Disney to have it validated in the last month of their membership (there's always a catch isn't there).

An adult annual pass is 129Euros so with the discount thats only 116Euros - the 3 days pass was 119E.   If you have an annual pass you don't pay to park - so you save 8 Euros a day, you also get 15% off the Wild West show (which is 59E per adult, 39E for kids), 10% off all the shops and restaurants and 30% off the Davy Crocket Ranch in Jan-April + some more extras I can't remember. There are a few days you can't go - but not that many. So for an adult going for 3 days its a no brainer.

If you get the more expensive annual pass (179E less 10%) then you get all the above savings plus on at least one day you get 20% off at shops & restaurants, you save on any Disney hotel bookings and you get things like free pushchairs etc. and there are no blackout days.

Only one person has to have a pass to get the discounts, but because we arrived at Disney at 3.45pm on Friday we decided it was worth it to get the kids one too as we effectively got an extra 'day' in the park - and if (should I say when LOL!) we go back next year it will be a mega cheap holiday as we won't have to pay any entry fees. All we need now is a cheap tent-friendly campsite near to the park.

Cath

Is the answer 2, there are 2 'days' in Disneyland?
