HI,We are thinking of doing the same but down to Bordeaux, Sam Sebastian,Salamanca, Portugal,Gibraltar,back into Spain,upto France Monte-Carlo.We to are looking for sites open on the way to Spain, in Spain ok lots open all year but trying to find out about the weather going down?.If it looks bad then we will go down Dijon,Lyon,Nice, then Spain that way.We had property close to Alicante and lived there for 4/5 years and no that the weather in as you say green Spain can be bad!,we are going 20 Dec Dover and back about 27/8 Feb from Calais.Regards John-Cal

Hi Floydfan what is your campsite called? It's useful to know you are open in winter. I have stayed in Saumur several times so should be able to find it again, especially with 'Milly' to help!
