Has anyone used this, says it is for 2 people, how would we go about it with a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 kids. Think I read somewhere we could just pay the extra nightly rate for the 2 kids. For the 10 euros to get the priv card it seems like a good deal.

You might find you can't use the Castels Card in school holidays. Most of these 'discount' schemes are available only at the beginning and end of the season. Each site usually specifies dates between which they will accept the card. Similarly Camping Cheques offer a price for two people and you pay a supplement (usually about 3 euros) each, for each child, but only a very limited number of sites accept the cheques during the school holidays.
Just checked out the website, and you can only use the card up until 30th June, and then again from 1st September. If you can go at Spring Bank Holiday then this would be a useful card to have.
Hi
We used this card for May half term holiday and it was well worth the cost. we too are a family of 4 and we made a considerable saving on our 9 night holiday in the Loire.

We looked at the Privilege Card a couple of years ago, when we were staying at Le Château de l'Epervière, in Burgundy. We found that, for that site at least, the Privilege Card price was actually higher than the cost of a Camping Cheque, which is what we were using. I think that not all the Castels sites take Camping Cheques, so the Privilege Card might be worth using if you were staying on sites that didn't, but perhaps not otherwise!
If you're going at Whit then it would be worth using Camping Cheques - see their website for available sites. They offer a lot of the Les Castels sites anyway, and the price for pitch/caravan (or tent)/awning/two adults/electricity/dog is £10.30 per night, which is a very good deal. Some sites offer free places for children, but some charge a supplement (usually about 3 euros per night). You don't need to book - and if you don't like the site you've chosen you can move on when you wish.
