HI all

some will remember that i realy dont like the cc club sites and the only reason im a member is insurance etc.

well is the insurance any good be carefull they only insure upto 5000 for each person in a vehicle and thats if they die god forbid.

i had to claim back last april insurance payed out no problem good as gold some git had my motorhome away watch it with citroen and the boxers etc as some derv keys are the same as ignition so go chech u locked the cap on because if its not there your motorhome wont be soon be warned.

anyweay after that i bought a sprinter all well insurance tranfered over at no cost great.

not so great.

wilst in france i got a letter saying that as we no longer had the citroen motorhome the insurance was now cancaled on that vehicle problem was we where in france and didnt know until we got back opened letter thourght nothing ov it as we had a new cover note for the new sprinter.

so i filed the letter until i was doing my books i found the letter and thought ill give them a ring guess what they had cancaled the hole policy and my motorhome was not insured for the last two months we didnt know and they would not cover unless we took out a new policy anyway after a long conversation they reinstated the policy but if i had claimed i would not have been insured and right in it.

now my 65% no claims thats suposed to be protected  that i pay exstra for + the exsess is not worth having because the insurance next year it 500 that 200 up on last. thank you CC my advice use adrian flux dont need to be in a club and u get free eu breakdown cover all in with insurance friends have it and have used it and it dosnt change the priemime.

--I think--most insurance companies cancel your policy when they pay out for a total loss or vehicle theft---Adrian Flux are always the cheapest--but if you read the VW forums you will see they aint quite as good as some at handling claims--also with continental breakdown cover, check it very carefully--find out their procedure for breakdown & recovery on the continent--for example--one VW camper I know--had engine failure in Spain & the company wouldnt recover because they said the recovery cost exceeded the vans value!--after days of wrangling-they finally recovered it--
