Hi, we're off to Italy in April may and heading to the cinqueterre. Has anyone been here? We're thinking of trying Camping Aqua Dolce in Levanto, and then heading down to Tuscany. Does anyone have any particular advice regarding sites?
We're going over on Ryanair to Genoa and back on Easyjet from Pisa, taking one of our lightweight tents, so access to a station would be good (we'll be travelling by train). If anyone has any particular recommendations we'd be glad to hear of them.
Many thanks, best wishes to all for the new year,
Fudge59 (:)

Hi Fudge, Cant help with cingueterre, but the Camping Torre Pendante in Pisa has excellent facilities and is only about 300-400 mtrs from the railway station, the airport at Pisa is practically in the town and can be accessed by the city buses.
Thanks for this Jimff5 - we saw the campsite in Pisa when we were there before on a weekend break at a hotel, it looks extremely convenient. We're thinking of going slightly further into Tuscany this time, perhaps to Siena or down to Elba.

If you are looking for a campsite in Siena many years ago we stayed at a campsite called Colleverde which is on the northern edge of the City. There is a bus which stops outside the gate which will take either to the station of the right into Siena.

we visited Aqua Dolce twice, on motorcycle. Great location, shops handy, beach handy. teraced, shady, facilities fine. Don't let the manager scare you! everyone thinks he's a hoot!
Ive walked the cinque terre from Levento to portovenere via the sentierre azzurro/rosso.Very very scenic walking it you certainly get away from the crowds!
