Hello again

We are planning to go to Italy in early summer. We'll probably book with the Norcenni Girasole in Tuscany for a week or so as everybody has given it good reviews and it does look very appealing, but I wondered if anybody has tried the Baia Domizia Villagio in Campania.

It's quite a pricey site, but the leafing through various books and reviews (and their website) I've done has had everybody saying it's well worth it.

With regard to EHU in Italy - any tips?

Happy New Year!

One thing to watch is that a lot of campsites only have 3amp supply, this is fine for the fridge, charger and lights but not much else. So don't try boiling a kettle!!!! Having said that so of the more well known sites do have 6amp. You will ned the usual continental adaptors as well as the CEE17 (blue plug).

Hi Angevin, Baia Domizia is a lovely site, we have been there several times. There are only 2 'minor' problems in my opinion. First, the electric supply is only 2 (Two) amps so you need to take plenty of gas, or eat out in the lovely restaurant on site. The other one is that there is a Club just outside the campsite and the frequent discos tend to run on into the early hours.

On the plus side the facilities are excellent, shops, restaurant, ice cream parlour. Many exotic plants around the site, everywhere is so pretty. Sandy beach is just a few yards along the path.

The village is a short walk down the road. But it is a bit isolated and you need your car to visit places of interest in the area. Vesuvius, Pompei, Herculaneum ( better than Pompei IMO ),Montecassino, and the must not miss Sulfatara Volcano.

Phil.

I have never stayed on a site in Italy which had anything other than the CEE17 connection. although some have needed an extension to the standard 25 metre cable to connect.
