Hi

Try Zagarella. This is about 40 miles or so from La Rochelle, or about an hour's drive. But frankly there are hundreds along that strech of coast.

Last time we stayed in this area, I went to the airport mid-stay to collect my mum.

try http://www.sequoiaparc.com/sequoie.html#twee this is about 30-40 mins away.  Amazing big site,  heaps to, do water park...........great if you like that kind of thing.  Pitches were all HUGE and facilities great.  If you like that kind of thing!!!!!  We spent couple of days there and the beaches in il de O'leron were GREAT!!!!! Personally I like things  a little more homely or family run, but great value for money.........
