Has anyone been to this campsite? Thinking of trying it this year, two couples and dog. Would appreciate any info. Thanks.

Hi

We went to this area and stayed at www.loupuntaou.com

we actually drove to this site as it was on my reserves list- I was impressed with it:

It is within walking distance of a mighty fine beach that also holds a night market 1night a week and a weekly day market. The village is a couple of minutes drive but it is only small but then you have Leon just down the road again and this has supermarket, petrol station and plenty of shops and a daily market.

We stayed in a mobile and this sites mobiles looked good all pretty new and well spaced. Lots of shade too.

There is lots to do in the area-Adreneline Park, day trip to Spain, water park at Seignosse, Arcachon Pyla Dune, to name but a few

Hope you have a fab time and we are really jealous that we are not going there this year. This was my favourite area that I have been to yet in France from Brittany, Loire and the Limousin.

Yes been to Eurosol in 2005 and again in 2006 - it was that good. Stayed in mobil home - the best thing is the huge pine tree on the site and the fantastic beach approx. 700 meters from site, here you will also find excellent restaurants (pizza and seafood) also good for breakfasts, check out the seafood restaurant (Chez Vincent) in Lit-Et-Mixe, approx. 5km. and (Le Hillon) traditional French food, approx. 2km from campsite. Evening market is good for a once over after that it becomes a drag, go early it gets busy. Watch the swimming on the beach i.e. stay between the flags or the lifeguards will tell you off - they have a point the current is something else and you'll end up the the USA if you don't take care!!! Oh just one word of warning the evening entertainment on the campsite can sometime be corny, but they mean well - try and get accommodation at the back of the campsite, it's a lovely walk between the trees and you are away from the karaoke.

All in all this is in my opinion an excellent campsite and I have a high standard, not many brits but the Dutch are out in force as always! (where do they all come from? I think they have huge underground bunkers in Holland and during summer they let millions of Dutch people out with tents and caravans)?

Have fun whatever you decide - holiday with family and friends are the best times ever - roll on summer.
