The answer is yes, but the animal must go through several stages before it can go abroad and then return to this country. Firstly you must have the dog chipped then it will get injected against rabies. One month from the date of the injection the vet will take a blood sample and send it away to be checked that the antibodies have taken, if the result is ok the dog will recieve it's passport, BUT, you have to wait six months from the date the blood sample was taken before the dog can re-enter this country. You should start the process around October to give yourself plenty of time. It may seem complicated but your vet will be able to guide you.
