I thought people should know that if they have not booked yet ferry prices are gradually going up so the longer you leave it the more expensive it is.
I booked with Speedferries on 20th Jan for this summer and looked at the price again today and it has gone up by £8. Give it another week and it will probably go up more

as the demand for ferries comes, so the prices will go up, and when the demand drops, so do the prices, it pays to book as early as you can to get it as cheap as possible.
------------- "PACESETTERS" German Shepherd dog display team, we are out and about raising money for guide dogs.
I booked on 05/01/2007 for Poole/Cherbourg return late June + 7 camping cheques with the CC. Price £305.30. Just looked today out of interest. For the same deal its now £435.10.
Back in October I booked my entire holiday in June 2007 through Select Sites including Portsmouth/Caen ferry crossing and full insurance cover for less than what Brittany Ferries wanted to charge me for just for the crossing.
Gawd alone knows what they'd want to charge me now...........
Also remember that crude oil is paid for in US Dollars and the pound has enjoyed an extremely favourable exchange rate for some time now, so don't accept any of this old b******s about fuel surcharges!!!!
