Hi. have finally booked ferry croosings from Poole to St Malo at beginning of July. Travelling to Benodet and hoping to stay at Camping du Letty for 10 days. Looking for somewhere decent around St Malo for first few days. Not too far as we arrive late evening.
Thank you

It depends on what you want, there are plenty of sites within half an hour of St Malo.
Le P'tit Bois at St Jouan-des-Guerets just outside St Malo which is expensive but plenty of facilities although I have never known the water in the toilet block to be particularly hot!!!
La Hallerais at Dinan from where you can walk along the river into Dinan.
La Vieux Chene and Chateau des Ormes at Dol de Bretagne.
Domaine du Logis near Combourg which has under gone refurbishment in the past few years.
All these sites have good facilities and are within 25 miles of St Malo.
we stayed in the one Mr Paul suggested, only for a night as we were travelling down to the Vendee, we also did the poole - st malo crossing, it is not far from the port. really big site but all the ammenities are open until late so you can arrive and still get a takeaway up until 11pm ( quite a noisy site and would not want to stay for too long) but very clean and friendly !
GOOD LUCK, JULIE x

Chateau des ormes etc are o.k well equipped sites but for a more French feel consider camping la Tousse just outside dinard, friendly english speaking owners, good facilities and a couple of hundred metres walk to a lovely beach, and you actually feel like youre in France!
Depending on what you want to do, the 4 Municipal campsites in St Malo might suit you. http://www.malouins.com/campings/ One's very central, almost directly opposite the ferry port. We stayed at Les Ilots, just out of town, twice after getting evening ferries. Very nice, clean, efficient.
