Hi there juststarting, would you want to do it in one hit, using the (mostly) toll motorways, or take it more slowly on ordinary roads, perhaps with an overnight stop? You could look at the viamichelin.com website for their route planner. Look under driving directions, and you can choose options such as quickest, shortest, avoiding motorway etc, as well as intermediate towns if you want a stop-off. It will give you an idea of the tolls, as they go up in the spring, plus speed camera locations. Sorry, safety cameras.

Suggest you spell it Biarritz though    if it's the town on the west coast near the Spanish border!

Don't know what day you're travelling on, but beware bad , really bad, traffic around Bordeaux on Saturdays especially (in peak season, that is). Motorway toll stations around the middle of the day = no fun. Try to plan around it if you can.

In terms of route, you might want to avoid the Peripherique. (There has been a Paris / avoid Paris thread in the past). Try: Rouen, Le Mans, Tours, Poitiers, Bordeaux. Like Stormcow, we usually have two overnights on such a drive, although we would have had an earlier start on Day 1 than you....

Make sure you do La Rhune while you're there. Again, see previuos threads.

We did the above route from Leon which is just north of Biarritz on the new A28 road this summer , with a stop off for dinner in 10 hours, it was a sunday and we had no problems at all, in fact in was a joy to drive. We stayed in the premiere classe at Dunkerque and then got the 6am ferry.When we got to Dover thats when our problems started in it took us 8  hours to do a 5 hour journey!!! Have a great time in a beautiful area. This is my favourite part of France
