My wife and I are travelling to Tuscany in April/ May. Can anyone recommend any sites? We want to visit Florence and Pisa, plus enjoy the country-side. We are then considering heading down towards Sorrento. All advice gladly received!!

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!

Hi Hillview!, We were in North Italy last year, in Tuscany we stayed at' IL Pogetto,' (might be poggetto) which is not far from Florence.  It is a nice site, not overlarge by Italian standards, with good sized pitches (rare in Italy).  It has great amenities, the resturant is fabulous, You can get the local bus from right outside the Site directly into Florence, inexpensive and saves trying to find parking in the city.  Return buses run every 30 mins or so.  The site in Pisa is 'Camping Torre Pendante' Which is a pleasant site nice sanitary blocks, shop, pool, club/bar and pizzeria/restaurant. It is within a 15-20 min walk from the Campo Miracoles where the Tower is.

Enjoy your trip!
