Hi All

Don't know if anyone here can help but thought it was worth a try...

We are going to Camping Cabopino near Marbella this September as the hub doesn't fancy the drive from Bilbao (and the ferry is very expensive!).  We've never been to a keycamp before but have been told (now that we've booked) that they are horrendously packed and uncomfortable and we won't even get a toe in the pool.

Has anyone had experience of this or the site itself?

Should we abandon and take the Monty to St Ives instead??

Thanks for any advice

Kim

All Keycamp sites are different. Some of the more popular ones may be packed in peak season but so are a lot of non-Keycamp sites.

I would have thought that going in September you should be fine. I wouldn't have any worries about it personally.

Some people are just all show. I don't mind that if the show is worth watching, but .....

I wouldnt worry about going in September. European schools are back by then so you will probably only be sharing the site with childless couples, retired folk and families with permission to take their kids out of school or whos kids are under school age. A large percentage of the population will have taken their holidays by then. I would love to take my hols in September but, although childless, I work in a school and I'm stuck with August.

We have been with Keycamp for the last 5 years at different sites throughout the Vendee and Languedoc regions in France. Always in July/August and they have all been brilliant holidays. Each site is different with different facilities, and even at the height of the school hols there has always been room at the pool and the sites have never felt overcrowded. The kids love the the pools and the fun stations, we love the safe, secure feeling the campsites have and the relaxed fortnight with BBQ's, eating out and new friends. Site staff have always been very good. You will love it. And although we are not going this year, we will be back next for sure.

Not been with Keycamp, but been with others of that ilk in France. Going again this summer so can't be bad!
