The site has its own restaurant. Nicely done out but a bit pricey. They do have a captive market. There is also a pizzeria, which is very popular, which apart from pizzas will do chicken and burgers etc. An on site supermarket where you can buy for the bbq. So all in all you and hubby should be well catered for. The site is a bit remote for restaurants. The local village of St. Just doesn't have much and the nearest town is Marennes which I suppose is cyclable. Otherwise a very nice site

We stayed here about 3 years ago. It is a nice site, but is a bit remote. We decided we wouldn't go back because of this. The area near the coast is nice with some great beaches, but they are not that easy to get to from the site. On the map they look quite close - the problem is there is no direct road due to the amount of inland water in the area. Personally we would stay near St Palais if in the area again.

Hello

We went to Sequoia Park about 6 years ago & thought it was a very pleasant site. I would agree with the above comment about being a little remote if on foot but I have also been to St Palais & thought the area around Sequoia Park such as St Just, Marennes & Ile de Oleron were far more picturesque. Ile de Oleron is not far by car from the campsite and has some lovely beaches. From what I can recall the restaurant at the site was perfectly adequate and there was some good restaurants in Marennes.

 Ann
