Where do you all keep your bread after a few days our bread went mouldy .
It was very cold at night and warm in the day . OH says keep it in the fridge ??

No, we gave up on bread bins years ago for the same reason.

never put bread in the fridge it makes it go stale very quickly. ours gets put in the front overhead lockers when away in the caravan

Fridge.
At home, we got so fed up with bread going mouldy after 2/3 days that we started keeping it in the fridge. Put it in the fridge immediately, and it is still useable after 10-14 days (even Jacksons bread, which has a very short shelf life).
Every article I have read said "Do NOT keep bread in the fridge, it makes it go stale".
Well, it doesn't go stale any faster in the fridge than it does outside - but is does stop it going mouldy. (Our fridge is set to 4 degrees).

Always kept it in the fridge in the caravan and at home in the freezer, we just take out what we intend to use that day.

We keep ours in the microwave, never hasd a problem with mould yet.

tip: Look at the 'Use By' dates on the bread closure before you choose one, there can bu 4 or 5 days difference in freshness.

Both at home and in the caravan - in the fridge! Keeps happily for a couple of weeks or so past Best Before date, not stale, not mouldy! But I do keep the bag sealed tight after taking a few slices out.

But what I've found with fresh (just baked) bread that you get sliced for you on the shops own industrial slicing machine is that it usually goes mouldy in a couple of days - bet they NEVER clean and sanitise the machine properly, and mould spores get transferred to the bread!

Never had an issue with ready sliced bread from the big name brands.

In the caravan we put the bread in the microwave when it is not in use, it acts as an excellent bread bin. If you use the microwave take the bread out and after use leave the door open for a spell to let any heat or moisture dry out and then put the bread back in.

In the caravan, we just buy one loaf at a time, always checking the date before purchase. Never had a problem with mould.

At home we bake our own and it is eaten too fast to go mouldy.

We just keep ours in a cupboard in the caravan, although it's always in a bread-bin at home. Never had a problem with it. However, we don't normally buy sliced bread unless we can't get a nice crusty fresh-baked loaf, and we never have that sliced at the shop.

I keep what is left uneaten from a fresh loaf after a few days in the fridge.

Being on my own, a loaf can last over a week or more!

In the caravan oven along with the toaster, not turned on of course. We tarely use the oven.

In the MH, in a drawer (3rd down…). At home, on top of the bread bin.
Ultra Processed bread lasts ages, it’s got so many additives to stop it going hard / mouldy etc. Sourdough from a proper baker will be rock hard in a few days (but softens with a jag in the microwave). Time & place for both types. At home, we’re stopped buying standard bread rolls & now buy ciabatta rolls (Aldi): only 4 ingredients, a pack of 4 lasts us long enough.
