I have an 2001 Avondale Dart 380-2 and it flattens the battery due to the water pump not turning off when the water was full. I am told there is a micro switch which should turn it off when full. does anyone know where the micro switch is please.

Not sure I understand the question. When what is full? Micro-switches are normally found in taps so that when the tap is turned on the pump starts up to fill the sink, washbasin, or whatever.

you have confused 2 types of water delivery systems, one is done by the use of a micro tap and the other is a pressurised system.

if yours continues to run the pump after turning off the tap then it is the pressurised system you have,

if you follow the pipework back to the entry point on your caravan you will find a square box with a red led and a plastic screw, you need to adjust that

If you have micro switches controlling the taps it is switching on the power to the water pump when you open any tap, it won't stop when full. The more modern setup uses a micro switch in a pressure sensing device to turn off the pump when the tank is full and at maximum pressure, however, being a vintage van yours doesn't do that, you have to first type. There should be wires visible from below.

The tap micro switches are located up inside the taps so that they can be activated with the tap mechanism. Ideally try to get access from below, in a cupboard if possible. It may well be that the sink needs removing which is a pain.

it fills the hot water tank and the system to the taps and after bleeding the taps the pump stops but in this case it just keeps running and drains the battery
