I am thinking about purchasing an inflatable Lock and Level caravan leveller as I very often find that the ramp types can be quite difficult to use especially as I am often on uneven Rally sites etc
If anyone has one of these I would be very interested to know if there are any snags to look out for and do they work better than ramps?

Around 90% of our vanning is on Rally fields and we're still using the same set of ramps that we've had for more than 20 years.
Looked at the Lock n Level system and they do seem fairly easy to use.
However I could never justify the price of them! Besides the initial purchase prices should you get a puncture it's not cheap to get it repaired.

We think our Lock n Level is brilliant and worth every penny we paid for it. We've had it 8 years or so now, and find it much simpler to use and easier to get the van level than with ramps. If you have an Alko lock then it means it is possible to get your caravan level and have the wheel in the right place to fit the lock (the problem it was originally
designed to solve).
It is a sturdy piece of kit so unlikely to puncture, but the advice is to sit it on a piece of rubber mat or similar to avoid sharp stones etc.
We would highly recommend!

Were using one and find it very satisfactory. Were always on CL's which can be very uneven and always found it able to level.

I could never get on with ramps so we used to use a Milenco but when we changed the van the new van wheel was too large a diameter.

Only downside is having to carry the little compressor around with you, not to much of a downside though.

Get one, you'll not regret it

Weirdly, the van stored next to me is on one of these. Not sure why when its just being stored. But; where it was inflated to about 4 inches off the ground the other week, its now on the floor. Don't know if this is by design, or its gone flat.

Never a problem, and you get mm perfect leveling ... unlike the solid step versions!
Worth every penny ... imho

Suggest it's punctured or the valves leaking.

Thats the problem; you dont want to be 'perfectly level'. If i did this, my shower wouldnt drain properly as the tray hasnt that much of a tilt to it. Also, neither does the roof drain of pooling if you are bang level.

Thanks for your comments I have decided to go ahead and get an inflatable leveller
I have got a wheel lock but not sure at what angle to position it
It’s a Nemesis Ultra and has a steel bar that goes right through the wheel and under the chassis it’s attached to the wheel by means of a security bolt with a key
Is it difficult to get the lock set so that when on the leveller it all lines up?

I have one and if I am on gravel I put the lock and level on a piece of hardboard. To me it is very easy to use and well worth the cost.

We had one for our twin axles and it made it a lot easier to fit the ALKO secure wheel locks. Brilliant piece of kit.

Even more reason to have one ... you can set any gradient you want!
Our drainage system is never adversely affected by the van being perfectly level ... maybe different manufacturers build different systems ... but, if a design doesn't allow for good drainage when the van is level ... hmmm ...

I've got a Lock n Level, had it a few years, but yet to use in anger as not been on a site with side to side slope worth bothering about.

I've tried it out, and it seemed a real doddle to use. I carry an electric tyre pump anyway, so no hardship needing it for L n L.

Tried ramps in past, absolute nightmare with a Alko wheel lock alignment. Tried one of those adjustable 'wedge' lifters that straddle the wheel, again a PITA, couldn't fit if wheel slightly sunk into soft ground, and just plain slow hard work to screw up AND down!

My shower doesn't drain well if truly level, so the L n L should facilitate easy levelling to an acceptable compromise between 'level' and draining the shower. I've got a protective mat to place under the bag to protect from stones and minimise risk of puncture.

On the shower issue - totally agree. Some vans are built better then others. However, your roof; Do you really want water pooling? Certainly not saying you need a 'slope' on the van. But an imperceptible incline is always best IMO.

Also, i pride my eye as being a match for any leveling device. I can spot even the slightly wonkiest wall hanging across a room at 50 paces.

If you have single axle they are to expensive but if you have twin axle they are fantastic and well worth the money
