With the coming of the digital age i want to buy a lcd flat screen tv with or with out a built in dvd player dose anyone have a prefrance as what is the best.
Can't advise you on the best type, but having been in a caravan accessory shop yesterday and seen the prices for 12v products, I'd check the prices here
We recently bought one like this although it was only £160 in Currys. It is both a monitor and a TV and it is superb. We have no complaints whatsoever the picture is clear and bright, the colours excellent and sound more than adequate for the van with no distortion.
Bought a ALBA LCD tv also acts as a monitor for my other PC no probs. bought it about 18 months ago from Argos, might invest in a 19or21 inch LCD later in the year....

We have been looking for one for a while.Eventually settled for a Sony 15'' with built in Freeview. £237 at John Lewis.Cheaper than Comet and others. It isn't 12v though.
Forgot to mention the Sony from John Lewis comes with a 5 year parts and labour guarantee. That's one of the things that sold it to us.There are some good buys about and it's personal choice. One of the other things we were looking for was sound quality as well as picture quality. Some of the smaller screen LCD TVs had poor sound quality. When having a look turn up the sound and listen. Some of them sounded 'tinny' if you know what I mean.
I bought a 15" LCD from Currys for £99 and we have a DVD player in the car which we can bring in and hook up to the TV. Picture is great but sound is a bit tinney. Suppose thats what you get for £99 but it stays and travels in the caravan, so won't be such a disaster if it were to get broken.
