My OH towed our van for the first time in April this year. She done really well although most was on dual carriageway . I was in the front telling her to keep looking in the extended mirrors not the car ones, which she found hard. Still, after one mile she stopped & let me take over....only joking , she drove for about 10miles which was really good considering she hadn't towed before & it was all in one piece still. Loves ya really Happycamper!!!

not female but will give you support lol, if you are lacking in confidence do a cc course

mate (female) tows a blinking big compass with a sorento and that is a big rig, physically in towing there is no reason why a girlie cant tow as well as a guy, the cars have pas and abs etc, you can use the mirrors. you go girl!!!

My Wife has only towed once..My Pa in laws Coachman/ volvo rig a few years ago...she found it too nerve racking...and so prefers me to tow...which incidently I love.so that works out nicely...Theres no reason you Ladies shouldn't give towing a try.....just take your time...and watch your mirrors.....after all If you can cope with more than one pan on the stove at once ( now thats really hard )..you should find towing easy..........Its true..no sexist comments intended.............Go for it Girls

I'm going to tow next weekend for the 1st time.  We are off to Scotland so i will have to take a turn.  I have asked if i could have a go at towing but dh isn't too keen on the idea but even he knows that i will have to next weekend.  I towed the tt 2 years ago but never a caravan lol.  It will all be motorway towing that i will be doing so shouldn't be too hard but not sure i will "forget" that the 'van is on the back like dh does lol.

I'll let you know how i get on in 3 weeks time...

Lots of female towers on this forum. Some of them single parents who tow solo or with family. We both tow (2 women) and have both done the CC course and we know 2 other all female couples and both have their own vans. You see plenty of women around here towing huge horse trailers as we live near 2 livery stables. I always think it must be more daunting towing one of them with valuable livestock stood up inside.
