We have had one for a while, the coverage around the Uk is very patchy however, sometimes its fine and you can surf for hours and others you cannot log on at all.

I wouldnt like to have to rely on one for checking anything important, or working whilst away, they do have an annoying habit of loosing stuff when you press the 'Send' button either by no coverage or signal, logging you off line even if you had gained the signal ok a few mins before

The first one we bought was from VodaPhone, but we had very poor service and it all ended up in the hands of trading standards department, the one we have now is T-Mobile and thats about as good as it gets using dongles for us!

Got the boy a Vodaphone one for out 3 week tour of the North of England & Scotland.

He used it on all 5 sites every night and during the journeys, mostly for MSN and web camming.  Got a signal virtually all of the time and in 3 weeks used only £9 worth of credit.

Very good and would recommend it to anyone.
